The shoulder bone's connected to the broken collar bone

It seems like with our family (even in our extended family) someone is always going to the emergency room. Eenie, meenie, miny moe guess who broke their collar bone??
October 2008

Alyse broke her collar bone on Thursday night. Her and Lexi were taking a bath and I got them both out of the bathtub and wrapped them up in their towels. Then we went into my bedroom to dry off and put their pj's on. I finished with Lexi and told Alyse that it was her turn. She thought it would be funny to go run and hide and so she ran through my bathroom and slipped on the bathroom floor and broke her collar bone. Man, it seems like if it isn't broken bones, stitches, seizures, it's something. My goodness. As you can see from the picture, it isn't really slowing her down any.

Bogus Basin

Bogus Basin 2008
Growing up my family would drive up to Bogus Basin on General Conference Sunday between conference sessions and have a picnic up on the mountain while listening to the afternoon session. I couldn't even tell you when this tradition started but I can remember many many years of this. Uncle David and his family started joining us for many years as well. Even after Ryan and I got married and started having kids we have continued to go with my family. Unfortunately because of weather and other things popping up in everyone's busy schedules, we haven't gone in a few years and I have missed not doing it. So this year despite the predicted rain we still went. It was a lot of fun!!I am so grateful to mom and dad for doing fun things with us and for having traditions. I love all of the memories that I have of going to Bogus for conference. (Running down the hill and racing the van, having a snowball fight one year, celebrating my birthday up there and opening presents, hiking, racing around, playing on the chair lifts, etc). I enjoyed watching my kids run around and have fun up there. They loved riding their scooters and bikes around. We had fun racing each other on scooters down the pathway.

2 Year old Lexi

I am such a slacker, I know. It has taken me awhile to update my blog. Lexi turned 2 the end of August and I just got myself motivated to go and get her pictures taken. For those of you who don't know this, I hate doing the picture thing. It is a lot of work and I have to gear up for it every time. So after finally making myself just go and get it done here is Lexi's 2 year old pictures finally. At least she isn't three yet! :)
