Dressing Herself

Alyse is in the stage where she likes to dress herself without any help. Can you tell?

Birthday Bowling Time

Jenessa turned 7 last week. Crazy, crazy! They are all growing up so fast. Where is the time going? We went to Boondocks and spent some time there as a family. Later on that afternoon we also went bowling with some friends.

HAPPY 7TH BIRTHDAY JENESSA!

Nursery Time

It is very hard to believe but Sunday was Lexi's first day in nursery. These past 18 months have gone by so fast. It was a happy and sad day at the same time. She is looking so grown up!

Indoor Ride

Ryan is getting ready to do a 200 mile bike ride from Seattle to Portland this summer. A couple of Saturdays ago he and a couple of his friends did an hour bike race in the mall on trainers. It is quite the sight to see. There are 4 riders on a team and there were 5 teams riding at the same time. They are all in a square facing each other with huge fans going to help cool them all off. The radio is blasting
super loud too, I guess to help pump them up. The kids and I went down there to support him. Don't they look thrilled! :)

Alyse and Lexi's Room

With LOTS of help from my mom, I decorated Alyse and Lexi's bedroom with butterflies and dragonflies. I painted an old dresser and an old set of bunkbeds. Then we made the matching comforters. What a lot of time and work goes into sewing and tying those things. Then we wallpapered little dragonflies all over the room. There is a matching butterfly curtain rod with some cute curtains but that picture didn't turn out. Thanks again Mom for all of your decorating advice and help.

Snowy Days

We have gotten so much more snow than we usually do. It has been nice.
Alyse loves to eat the snow and has to grab some every chance she gets. We are trying to show her the difference between edible snow vs the other kind. We will go to the store and as she gets out of the car and into the parking lot she wants to grab a handful with a big black tire mark through it. Yuck! I love this picture of Lexi looking out the back door at the snow! Super cute!

Tag---I guess I am it!

A. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player answers the questions about themselves.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, then go to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
What was I doing 10 years ago? Um...lets see....February 1998 I was probably at work at Old Navy and going to BSU.
What are 5 things on my to-do list? 1-Finish folding and putting away laundry 2-Get kids ready for bed 3-Watch Survivor 4-Watch Lost 5-Get ready and go to bed
What would I do with a Billion dollars? Definitely get out of debt! Buy a house with some land and a pool. :) Help out our families and invest the rest so that Ryan wouldn't have to work another day unless he wanted to.
5 places I have lived: Boise, ID; Eagle, ID; Meridian, ID; and Bend, OR. (Evidently I don't get out much. :) )
5 jobs I have had: Taco Bell, Counter girl at Dry Cleaners, Old Navy, secretary and MOMMY (5 jobs under the Mom Job are maid, chauffer, nurse, teacher and house manager)!
Things people don't know about me: That despite the fact that I talk a lot...I am a pretty shy person. I am a loser---I don't have any other people with blogs to tag! :(

Great Grandparents

Alyse, Lexi and I went with Mom (Mama Barnes) to visit Great Grammie and Great Grandpa in their new house. Alyse and Lexi had a lot of fun running around and exploring the new place. They also had a blast sitting in Grammie's walker and being pushed around the house. It was hard to convince them to get off when it was time to leave.
